Pansexual Pride 2012

At London Pride this year, there was no Pansexual representation. With London hosting World Pride in 2012, this has to be changed!
If we can get enough people attending, and willing to participate for next year, we can participate, and put Pansexuality on the map, on a world wide scale!

You see that awesome looking harness right there? Well it could be yours! For FREE*!

My partner and myself are in the planning stages of setting up a small business selling comfortable, practical, cool looking packer harnesses, specifically designed for Trans*guys, but we need your help!

These harnesses have been tried and tested (and work with STPs too!). My partner has been wearing a few for months, and so far the samples we have sent out have been a great success! They are hand stitched at the moment, as we do not yet own a sewing machine, but they are still sturdy.

At this point, we are looking to launch in July of this year.

BUT

We need a name!

And this is where you come in.

We are running a competition for a name for our business! The name we had been playing around with, HarnessIt, has already been claimed by a business IT company (lame, I know). Neither of us being very creative, we decided that coming to YOU would be the best plan of action (and great advertising)

All you have to do it REBLOG this post**, and then send a message here with your idea for a name. My partner and I will judge the names, choose the one we like the most, and the winner will be announced on the 6th of April!

So to recap:

  1.  REBLOG
  2. Submit your idea here

There is no limit to the number of times you can submit! (But please don’t be anon)

Get reblogging!

*Mr Limpy not included

** Competition is open to everyone, but think about this: if you are a cismale/cisfemale… are you really going to have use for this?

FINAL NOTE:

***Competition is open to everyone, but if you are not from the UK, I may ask you to contribute to shipping costs ***

charmandharm:

See BiCon2012 for the Con this idea was based on!

Still just a rough idea, and needed to gauge interest.

We are currently looking for contributors! Get in touch at: equal.contact@gmail.com.
We are still looking for more people to help us complete our first edition. If you are interested in gaining some experience in writing, getting yourself published etc. then get in contact. Articles topics for our first issue include:
Same sex marriage: With last month’s revoke of proposition 8 and the increasing support for gay marriage across Europe: we are looking for an article on whether public and political opinion is finally changing.
Pride! Pride season is nearly upon us. As usual at this time though, many non-LGBT+ people are talking about Pride events in a negative way. Arguments such as: ‘why do they need to shove it in our face’ / ‘we don’t have a strait pride’ get thrown around. We are after an article explaining just why pride events are so important for the LGBT+ community.
London Olympics. With the recent news that quite a few of the torch bearers will be gay, is the sports world finally ceasing to hide its homosexual side?
Mitt Romney. As he gets ever closer to winning the republican primaries, we are looking for an article questioning his views on same sex marriage. And how he can be ‘in favour of gay rights’ and yet oppose both gay marriage and civil partnerships. (You can also include the other candidates and their views, if you desire)
Other things we are looking for include:
Shorts. This will be a page of very compact short pieces. They must be less than 100 words, and can be on any LGBT+ topic of your choice.
Opinion Pieces – These are your chance to write in a more informal way. They can be about whatever LGBT+ related topic takes your fancy, and can come in any format you like. They don’t have to be formal or journalistic, so get passionate, and get writing!
Creative writing pieces. – We are after a few short stories(less than 400 words) and poetry.  This does not have to strictly be linked to LGBT+ issues; however it would be a bonus if it is. We are open to anything, in any genre, so send us what you have!
Anyone is welcome, regardless of experience/level,
